Objective:
PNAMP´s Effectiveness Monitoring workgroup has started on a two part task to: 1) coordinate regional habitat action effectiveness and validation studies by developing an inventory of effectiveness monitoring programs and projects covering the geography of Northern California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia; and 2) use the inventory to facilitate an assessment of the distribution and quality of effectiveness monitoring programs in the northwest.
The objective is to facilitate among PNAMP Partners coordination, implementation, and evaluation of project and watershed scale action effectiveness studies.
The goals are to: 1) assemble a list of all ongoing, planned and completed effectiveness studies to coordinate regional monitoring efforts through a gaps analysis; 2) evaluate the quality of the studies to develop a standard to which future projects can be compared; 3) evaluate the geographical scope and applicability of the studies; and 4) identify recommended protocols & procedures for effectiveness monitoring to PNAMP partners. |
